This class will provide an overview of the history of mystical theology from its early developments in the time of the Church Fathers, through the Middle Ages, and beyond. We will also consider the relevance of mystical theology to the prayer life of Christians today.

Early Christian Apologetics

The Art and Architecture of Immaculate Conception Parish
This class will focus on the history, art, and architecture of one of the Diocese of Tulsa and Eastern Oklahoma’s most beautiful churches, the “Cathedral of the Osage,” Immaculate Conception, Pawhuska.
This class will be offered during the season Lent and will examine Church teaching on the institution of the Mystery of the Holy Eucharist as presented in Sacred Scripture and reflected upon by the Church Fathers, St. Thomas Aquinas, and in papal writings.

"Why Jesus Never Wrote a Book: An Introduction to Sacred Tradition"
“Holy Tradition transmits in its entirety the Word of God which has been entrusted to the Apostles by Christ the Lord and the Holy Spirit” (CCC, 81). This class will be an introduction to Sacred Tradition, which along with Sacred Scripture, is understood to be one of the two sources of Divine Revelation within the Church.
