Alcuin @ Holy Family

Join the Alcuin Institute for our signature Convivia! These informal roundtable discussions allow us to dive deeply into a particular aspect of our faith, while coming together in friendship and fellowship with our co-laborers in the Kingdom! Each session includes:
  • Readings from the great philosophers, saints, & Magisterium
  • Group reflection, discussion, and application of Church teaching
  • “Illumination” of eternal truths with sacred art
  • And plenty of good food & drink!
This year, we will take a deeper look at the Sacraments as Mysterious Encounters with Christ. Our conversation topics will include:
  • Man, the Naturally-Religious Animal
  • Sacraments: Signs of Sacred Things
  • Sacraments Old & New
  • The Eucharist: Source & Summit
Each conversation is unique, because the conversation is driven by you! Why not grab a friend, come out for a drink, and discuss the riches of our Catholic faith with us?

2022 Faith Formation Conference

Join the Alcuin Institute at the 2022 Faith Formation Conference hosted by the Diocese of Tulsa & Eastern Oklahoma! This annual conference is a wonderful opportunity for catechists, Catholic school teachers, and other faithful Catholic leaders of the Diocese to gather and explore the truths of the Catholic faith, all while networking and gathering tools for evangelizing and catechizing the next generation of Catholics! This year's conference theme is Sacraments: Mysterious Encounters with Christ! Our own faculty members, Drs. Aaron Henderson & Richard Meloche, will be offering two of the breakout sessions—one on the Eucharist and one on the Anointing of the Sick! Keynote speakers include Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers, Monica Ashour, and the Very Rev. Simeon Spitz, OSB! We hope to see you there!

Santa Fe Pilgrimage – In the Footsteps of Fr. Latour

Join the Alcuin Institute & Fr. Bryan Brooks as we pray, read, eat, and drink our way through New Mexico! Our quest to follow in the footsteps of the faithful priest Fr. Latour in Willa Cather’s Death Comes for the Archbishop will take us to many places in historic Santa Fe, including…
High Road Mission Churches

“Bishop Latour was riding through the mountains on his first official visit to Taos...”

Loretto Chapel

“The church was utterly black except for the red spark of the sanctuary lamp before the high altar…”

Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi

“Now that I have found exactly the stone I want, my Cathedral seems to me already begun.”

Kevin Vost – The Art of Memory

Join us for food, drink, and fellowship hosted by The Alcuin Institute for Catholic Culture and St. Michael Catholic Radio! “Remember the former things of old” the Prophet Isaiah exhorts (46:9). But in our modernized, hyper-connected Internet age, the value of a good memory has been all but forgotten. In the world of TikTok, sound bites, and 280-character hot-takes, how are we to regain our lost ability to remember the most important things? Dr. Kevin Vost has rediscovered a powerful mnemonic method, invented by the ancient Greeks and perfected by medieval scholars. Now, he is showing 21st-century Catholics how to use it to recall everything from the Ten Commandments and Psalms to remembering information you need to explain and defend the Catholic Faith. Doors open at 6p, and the talk will begin at 7p. We will conclude with Q/A and a brief social at 8pm. Please contact Ms. Becky Holder at becky.holder@dioceseoftulsa.org with questions regarding childcare.

FREE Registration here!

Dr. Kevin Vost has presented dozens of talks on all of his books at parish missions, home-school conferences, Theology on Taps, Legatus and other Catholic business organizations, college groups, men’s groups, women’s groups, youth groups, and seniors groups throughout the USA.
