The Alcuin Institute requests the pleasure of your company at the 2023 Charlemagne Ball. In festive celebration of the sacrament of Holy Matrimony, join others for an enchanting evening of fine dining and formal dancing. Registration includes a champagne cocktail hour, a formal four-course dinner, a waltz demonstration & lesson, and two hours of dancing, complete with a live string quartet orchestra! Tickets for the event can be purchased for $50 per person. Tables, seating 8, are available for $500. Preferred dress for the evening is formal waltz attire (but jeans and boots will do in a pinch). Waltz Lessons (w/ Monica Lickona)

Take some waltzing lessons with local Catholic dance instructor Monica Lickona! These lessons are offered in anticipation of the 2023 Charlemagne Ball. We offer three “tracks” for various skill levels and intentions. All lessons will be held at the Scissortail Ballroom off 51st and Mingo in Tulsa, OK.
- One-night Crash-Course Drop-ins for those just looking to gain some familiarity with the Waltz
- Thursdays @ 7pm | Jan. 26, Feb. 2, Feb. 9 (Choose one)
- Beginner Progressive for new waltzers seeking to learn a skill
- Wednesdays @ 6pm | Jan. 25, Feb. 1, Feb. 8 (Includes all days)
- Intermediate Progressive for proficient waltzers seeking to hone their skills
- Thursdays @ 7pm | Jan. 5, Jan. 12, Jan. 19 (Includes all days)
